Dr. Elise D’Arcy

Veterinarian

I grew up on the east coast in New Brunswick. As a child, I was always interested in animals and biology and had many pets of my own. I studied anatomy and physiology at McGill University and spent a lot of time volunteering at the SPCA in Montreal, and the children’s hospital. I was all set to go to medical school after my undergraduate when I realized that working with animals was too important to me, and I changed my mind to apply to veterinary school instead.

I graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of PEI, class of 2014, and then I completed a 1-year rotating small animal medicine & surgery internship in Manhattan, NYC. Since then, I have been practicing veterinary medicine full-time at small animal clinics in Toronto.

I have a special interest in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and internal medicine. I have a rescue dog Woody, and a rescue cat Churro, both from the Caribbean. My hobbies include scuba diving, exercise, live music, and travelling.
