As a kid, I was scared of animals, shying away from interacting with them. That was until high school when a couple of my friends got dogs who changed that fear into love.

In early 2020, I was let go from my previous job, which gave me time to reevaluate what I wanted to do. Animal care was at the top of my list and I eventually went back to school at Durham College in the Animal Care program. I started volunteering at Coxwell Animal Clinic in January 2022 during my second semester. When I graduated at the end of April I was lucky enough to be hired as an Animal Care Assistant.
