Registered Veterinary Technician
I grew up with a plethora of animals: cats, dogs, budgies, guinea pigs, geckos, a chameleon, fish, hamsters, rats, rabbits, and chickens. I don't know how I could have gone into any other field of work that didn't include animals! I graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College with a Fish & Wildlife diploma in 2013 but realized I wanted to be more hands-on with animals, rather than mainly research. I eventually want to open my own Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, so I needed more medical knowledge. I graduated from Northern College with my Veterinary Technician diploma in 2015, and I've been enjoying working at clinics ever since! I joined Coxwell Animal Clinic in 2018. Even though I graduated years ago, I always feel like I'm still learning. I enjoy learning something new, no matter what it is, and being able to put it into practice. One of my favourite areas of veterinary medicine is nutrition; it's so interesting how much nutrition plays a part in an animal's health, and how specific changes can help to aid certain problems. My first pet was a Labrador-mix named Flash that my parents got for me as a 3-year-old, to help try and burn off my extra energy. My favourite thing about Coxwell Animal Clinic is that it's such a friendly place. Everyone is lovely and works towards the same goal of helping animals. There's a lot of happiness and companionship here. A fun fact about myself is that I'm a huge bookworm. While my apartment isn't the biggest, I still manage to fit in six bookshelves and fill them with all sorts of books!

Most pet owners have had the unpleasant experience of dealing with fleas.
